Montera Swivel Stool With Column Base By Poltrona Frau
The Montera series designed by Roberto Lazzeroni has a formal lightness that expresses the sensory charm of its materials: the raw cut processing exalts the tactility of the saddle-leather and leather which, combined together, complement each other perfectly; the light stitching on the backrest forms a smile.
Upholstery of the shell combines ivory Pelle Frau® leather on the inside with Camel Cuoio Saddle Extra leather on the outside, with contrast stitching around the edges. The shell is produced from moulded steam-curved and -pressed beech plywood. Polyurethane foam padding. The column base in chrome steel, is made up of a four-bracket cross plate, a column, a footrest and a round plate. The cross plate fixes the shell to the base. The tubular footrest is knurled with a diamond motif. The upper part of the column, above the footrest, is upholstered with saddle-leather or leather to match the upholstery of the shell. Felt pads protect the floor.

Cab Counter Stool By Cassina
This was a new kind of chair, constructed totally out of leather, much cloned since then.” Thus Mario Bellini describes Cab, a best-seller that he designed in the 1970s, which is now a signature piece in Cassina’s I Contemporanei collection. Cab was the first-ever chair to feature a free-standing leather structure, inspired by how our skin fits over our skeleton. They undergo fourteen discrete procedures, again by hand.
The pieces are sewn together only when their outer edges have been trimmed to ensure a perfect fit. Once assembled, the cover is attached to the chair’s steel skeleton and held in place by means of a zipper fastening, as in a bespoke tailored garment. From the original model over the years a family of stools has also been developed, now available in 2 heights and in the new slim version with a lower backrest, making it more versatile for home use and also for public areas and bars, all also available in the new Plus leathers.

Torii Stool By Bensen
Available in Bar + Counter height, this design is simple yet sophisticated and defined by its characteristic arched backrest. Its minimal appearance and simple construction hide a surprising amount of comfort and sturdiness.
The name Torii comes from the characteristic wood entrance arches of Shinto shrines in Japan, which translates into English as “bird perch”. This motif perfectly describes the stools distinct proportions and traditional joinery, and the sense of harmony and calm inherent in design that is beautifully resolved.
Torii is constructed using traditional exposed mortise-and- tenon joinery for the legs which is strong and expresses the honest intent of the design. The arched back rest is cleverly joined to each back leg using two long steel dowels and epoxy glue. This ensures this critical joint will not fail or crack, while keeping the material thin and light. The finish is an advanced low build water-based polyurethane that gives the wood a natural open-grain appearance, which is smooth to the touch and durable.
A solid aluminum foot rail protects the wood frame.
